The PIC (Pilot-in-Command) Flight Practice I course is designed to provide ATPL students with the practical skills and experience necessary to assume the role of Pilot-in-Command during real flight operations.

1 | Assume the role of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and demonstrate leadership and decision-making throughout the flight. |
2 | Conduct thorough pre-flight planning including risk assessments, route planning, weather analysis, and fuel management. |
3 | Perform basic flight maneuvers confidently, including climbs, descents, turns, and slow flight in both normal and abnormal conditions. |
4 | Navigate and manage flight paths effectively using both VFR and IFR navigation techniques and ATC communications. |
5 | Manage emergency situations as PIC, including engine failures, abnormal procedures, and emergency landings. |
6 | Apply Cockpit Resource Management (CRM) techniques to optimize flight safety, communication, and workload management. |
7 | Manage passenger and crew relations, ensuring a safe and professional flight environment, particularly during in-flight emergencies. |
8 | Operate safely at night or in low-visibility conditions, demonstrating proper procedures for landing, navigation, and decision-making. |
9 | Review flight performance and provide self-assessment and feedback to improve PIC skills and responsibilities. |

The course will emphasize hands-on flight experience, decision-making, leadership, and effective management of both normal and emergency flight situations. Students will have the opportunity to practice various flight maneuvers, navigation techniques, and the application of standard operating procedures (SOPs) in a supervised environment, focusing on the responsibilities and duties of being the Pilot-in-Command.
