Dersin Amacı
The aim of this course is to provide students with opportunities for practice and theoretical discussion in the translation of social sciences texts. In this course, the students will familiarize themselves with the basic practice of translation of social science text, the most common problems that appear in translation for social sciences, as well as some techniques and strategies. This course aims to raise awareness and help students gain knowledge regarding concepts and characteristics of the texts related to social sciences as well as acquiring practical skills in translating texts in the field. The course involves both theory and practice; that is by studying theoretical issues the students will work on translations of different texts.
