Dersin Amacı
This course examines the substantive ideas and beliefs of the major political ideologies. The aim of this course is to survey the major ideologies that have shaped and reshaped the social, political and cultural landscape of the last century and this century as well. It will be studied the sources of these systems of ideas that we call "ideologies," analyze the arguments advanced in support and criticism of these ideas, and trace out their implications for people's lives and well-being. At the end of this course you should be able to: Identify and describe key ideological frameworks, including liberalism, conservatism, socialism, communism, fascism, feminism, green politics, and religious fundamentalism;r citically analyze significant ideological texts in writing and in speech and explain the implications of these ideologies for people’s lives and wellbeing.
