| 1 | The course enables students to develop an awareness of tangible and intangible cultural heritage. The students learn the history of İstanbul with a special emphasis on conservation issues of historical monuments. They recognize the importance of international organizations such as UNESCO and ICOMOS in protecting the historical fabric of modern cities. |
